Technology Thanksgiving Camps at the Elementary Institute of Science
3-D Printing Fun! [Grades 2 – 3, Maximum 24 Students]
Kids will design, engineer, and print 3D models. Students will learn design thinking and learn to
use Tinker CAD to engineer various structures. They will be able to take these building blocks
and create a 3D model that they will print and bring home.
The Robotics Challenge [Grades 4 – 6, Maximum 24 Students]
Take our challenge and learn to build and code a robot. Students will learn core coding and
robotics concepts by building a robot and making it come alive with the computer code they
write. There are limitless combinations in creating a robot including using sensors, motors,
LEDs, and more. It’s time to take the Robotics Challenge!
The World of Drones [Grades 7 – 8, Maximum 20 Students]
Drones + robots? What could be cooler than that! Students will explore the basics of drone
flight and learn to control one of our autonomous robotic drones by writing computer code.
Everyone joins in for a flight competition to see which teams can program a drone to finish the
obstacle course!
Looking for a quality experience for your kids during the Thanksgiving school break? The Elementary Institute of Science is offering 3-day technology camps for grades 2-8.
For 2nd & 3rd graders, 3-D printing will be the focus, while 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will try their hand at building and programming robots. Not to be outdone, 7th and 8th graders will learn to program drones to fly autonomously.
School may not be in session, but learning never takes a break and the fun never stops at EIS.
