Volunteering for the Health of our San Diego River: A Citizen Science Case Study
The San Diego River is an oft-neglected local natural resource right in our own community. Join the San Diego River Park Foundation as they report on the ecological health of our river, using indicators such as water quality, trash, and invasive plants. Staff will explain how volunteers work together to collect environmental data that is used to measure habitat restoration progress, plan further studies, coordinate trash clean-up efforts, inform policy makers, and more.
Speaker: Ally Welborn, Community Engagement Manager, The San Diego River Park Foundation.
