Expanding Access
The Expanding Access Working Group has focused their efforts by forming the Southeast San Diego STEM Ecosystem group. Bringing together partners with an interest in this community has spurred the creation, or support, of neighborhood networks in other communities in San Diego County. See below.
Environmental Education
Connecting environmental educators to training, teachers to curriculum, families to programs, and everyone to STEM learning through nature.
Environmental Education has coordination lead work out of the SD County Office of Education, San Diego Children and Nature, and from several of the prominent EE Organizations locally. The Central Project Office is happy to support coordination and collaboration. Please contact us if we can be of service for your environmental education goals. The Working Group will only reconvene when its work is not duplicative of the above mentioned efforts.
Date:
As of Summer 2021
Business Partnerships
Focusing on cross-sector collaboration between corporations and other entities to benefit STEM opportunities.
This Working Group has not been active in their current form. There are many efforts to connect industry and education in our community. If you are part of a group that is working on this with cross-sector partners please let the Central Project Office know how we can support.

Our Approach
It takes a region to successfully nurture our STEM learners.
We can accomplish more by working together than we can separately.
Leadership
The Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is a group created to streamline and improve the effectiveness of the Ecosystem in supporting the efforts of the Working Groups. The ELT is composed of local leaders and works in concert with the Working Group Chairs to help further the mission of the San Diego STEM Ecosystem.
