Marine Educational Resources
The North American Marine Environment Protection Association (NAMEPA) is a marine industry-led organization of environmental stewards preserving the marine environment by promoting sustainable marine industry best practices and educating seafarers, students and the public about the need and strategies for protecting global ocean, lake and river resources.
Available for you to download:
• Three learning guides to facilitate hands-on education in the classroom and beyond entitled “The Educator’s Guide to the Marine Environment”, “The Educator’s Guide to Marine Debris”, and “Marine Industry Learning Guide”
• Educational flyers and handouts to display in areas to educate public to Save Our Seas
What we can provide for you:
• Organize NAMEPA Chapter program for high school and college students to actively learn about and participate in our efforts to Save Our Seas
• Sponsor a science research paper contest among harbor schools, maritime academies, and universities around marine environment protection with American Salvage Association (ASA)
• Host annual student art contest with a marine industry and environment theme in partnership with USCG and CIP/OAS
• Organize, promote, and lead beach cleanups worldwide with data collection to engage community in citizen science
• Develop Adopt a Ship program in North America to connect students with seafarers and increase appreciation in the marine industry
