TEC Resources for At-Home Learning

Our education team at TEC is working hard to revise and adapt all of our PEAK materials to be easily implemented for an at-home environment:

• PEAK@Home Lesson Plans: We’re taking our existing PEAK lessons and transforming them to include easy-to-follow instructions (no more than 10 steps!). An adult can facilitate the lesson with TK to second-grade students or third-grade and above students can easily follow the lesson on their own. The lessons are still NGSS-aligned, environmentally focused, and phenomenon-based. We are also making the lessons accessible to Spanish speaking families. Since we are actively updating our lessons one-by-one, a new lesson is added every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. 

• PEAK@Home My Energy Future Webinars: Every Tuesday and Thursday we are hosting STEM career webinars, where we introduce a new STEM career and walk students/viewers through a career skill mapping activity based on the STEM career introduced. This is a great way to keep students engaged and motivated for the future.

• PEAK@Home Lesson Webinars: Coming soon we will be launching lesson webinars. Alternating with the My Energy Future Webinars on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Lesson Webinars will walk families through one of the PEAK@Home lessons. Bringing lessons live into homes!

To access a complete library of lessons, resources, and webinars complete the PEAK@Home Registration form with a Google compatible email so the PEAK team can give you access to all of the upcoming webinars and lessons on the PEAK Dashboard. Note: You only need to fill this out once! (registration has no-cost associated and the data gathered helps us continue providing services).

PEAK Professional Development Training continues to be available online for educators. Registration is now open for the May, June, July, and August training dates. We will be incorporating webinars into our previously full online training to get a little more face time with educators.
