The mission of the San Diego County Office of Education, as a world-class educational leader and trusted partner, is to transform public education and guarantee high levels of student achievement. In partnership with local school districts and the global learning community, we will research and apply innovative 21st century practices; leverage resources; develop strategic alliances; inspire powerful leadership; and provide exemplary customized services to districts, communities and the students in all County Office-operated programs.

The SDCOE STEAM Team supports learning for all students through the lens of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math throughout the county, with expertise in Career Pathways, Educational Technology, Outdoor Education, Library Media Services, Early Childhood Education, Expanded Learning, Science, Arts, Math, ELA, Assessment, Cybersecurity, Educational Leadership and more. Our role is to support the teachers and leaders in our 42 San Diego County School Districts and Charter Schools in their development of high quality teaching and learning.
