Jerabek relies heavily on parents’ time, talent, and treasures to ensure the educational success for all children in our community. In the fall of 2017, a group of parents wanted to enhance science opportunities for the children at Jerabek Elementary. All being engineers and leaders in San Diego’s STEAM and Technology community, these Jerabek parents proposed building a 21st century, state-of-the-art space where innovation is born, and inspiration runs wild. After receiving approval from the school, teachers, and District administrators, and working closely with the Jerabek Family Faculty Organization (FFO), the STEAM Lab was deemed a top priority for the FFO.
