Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI), a nonprofit organization established in 1997, creates green communities by designing sustainability programs around the four key sectors that make up the foundation of all communities: education, housing, government, and the workforce. 

We have a variety of programs and specifically, our Energize Schools program focuses on engaging sustainability leaders in grades K through 12 throughout California. Through the Energize Schools program in San Diego, we offer free high school project-based learning curriculum that is aligned with NGSS standards, teacher trainings, co-instruction in the classroom, green careers conferences for students, and tours of the SDG&E Energy Innovation Center all at no-cost. We also have two year-long UC A-G approved courses called Introduction to Green Technology, which 8 high schools in San Diego are teaching, and Energy and Environmental Design.
