Aerospace Robotics Competition

Afterschool/Out-of-School Time

STEM-ED INC offers multiple programs, the largest of which is the annual Spring Aerospace Robotics Competition (ARC). ARC currently has 5 Regional Events throughout the United States, as well as a National Championship in Los Angeles. Teams are tasked with building and programming quadcopter drones to complete various autonomous and semi-autonomous challenges, include object manipulation and waypoint navigation.

ARC has 3 objectives: accessibility, affordability, and aerospace. The competition is accessible through layered challenges and copious free resources to help students build their knowledge and experience from any background. We have a special passion for involving students who may struggle with school, home life, and/or disabilities. Similarly, we strive to make opportunities as affordable as possible to involved students from all socioeconomic statuses. The program has an extremely low cost relative to most other robotics programs, and we are diligently seeking sponsorships to remain affordable. Finally, all competition challenges are aerospace-focused, providing unique opportunities for students interested in this field. Teams are assisted by aerospace engineers, gaining valuable education and personal mentorship throughout the season.
