In collaboration with the San Ysidro School District SciPhy Teachers, the San Ysidro STEM Committee is excited to bring the San Ysidro STEM Fair to the community! This event first launched in 2022 and was positively received by students, families, and exhibitors alike. 

San Ysidro STEM Fair is geared for all San Ysidro School District's students in K-8 grade and their families! 

We welcome organizations that can.... 

• Lead hands-on and engaging STEM activities that can be used to inspire curiosity to the science/STEM around us or interest in any field of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. 
• Connect STEM professionals to the community and  share the science/STEM behind their work
• Share resources for the San Ysidro community

Logistics
The event will be hosted outdoors on the school's black top arena. SY STEM Fair is a self-paced festival with hands-on activities at exhibitor tables and informational booths. We anticipate families to spend about 10 minutes per exhibitor table. 

Event hours are 1:30pm-5pm. Set up time will be confirmed but likely to start at 12pm

Audience

This event's main audience is K-8 grade students and their families. Bilingual activities and materials, in Spanish and English, are highly recommended.

To confirm your participation, please fill out this Google Form no later than Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 5pm. We have a goal of recruiting 25-30 exhibitors to join this event. This form takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and will ask for social media handles, and a description of your hands-on activity.

Please also complete the Liability Waiver and Release linked on the right of this page and submit it by email to community@rhfleet.org or in hard copy to the information booth on the day of the fair.
