Wildlife Rangers: 5th Grade Program
Part I: Assembly
Your K-6th grade students will have fun learning about native and invasive species of our local San Diego Habitats and the role of a Wildlife Ranger in protecting our wild spaces with a Zoo Educator, the zany Dr. Zoolittle, and an Animal Ambassador. .
Part II: 5th Grade Classroom Visit
Your 5th grade students will participate in hands-on science activities to discover the important role of field researchers and Wildlife Rangers.They will investigate how our daily actions affect the health of our local wildlife refuge.
Part III: 5th Grade Field Trip
Your 5th grade students will explore San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge with Zoo Educators and a real, Wildlife Ranger! They will work together to complete several activities along the way and discover how they can work towards creating positive changes for our local habitats, as well as how they can be stewards for the healthy future of our planet.
Assembly programs and classroom visits are available on select Mondays-Fridays throughout normal school hours. Field trips are available on Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 am.
