STEM Winter Camp at the Elementary Institute of Science

Join EIS STEM instructors and have fun doing hands-on STEM experiments during the winter break!

STEM Subjects: Zoology and Climate Science.

Theme: Bugs, Birds, and Bears! How these amazing animals survive their changing habitats? Let’s explore their adaptations with fun games and experiments!

  • Ages: Geared for students 8-11 years old, or in 3rd-5th grade.
  • Dates and time: Camp will meet from 10:15-11:15 am for 3 days: Monday, December 28th, Tuesday, December 29th, and Wednesday, December 30th.
  • Cost: $100 per student. Up to 3 siblings in the same household can join together for $115. Each student must be on the registration form to receive the correct amount of materials.
  • Materials: Each student will get a science kit to do 3 experiments. Parents or authorized adults must pick up their kit at EIS on Friday, December 18th from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Saturday, December 19th from 9:00 am-12:00 pm or Monday, December 21st from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Kits must be picked up by December 21st. Shipping available for students out of town for an additional fee, and students must be registered by December 7th for shipping.

Zoom Meeting Information: Camp will meet using the Zoom platform, and meeting links and passwords will be provided the week before camp begins.

Technology Thanksgiving Camps at the Elementary Institute of Science

Looking for a quality experience for your kids during the Thanksgiving school break? The Elementary Institute of Science is offering 3-day technology camps for grades 2-8.

For 2nd & 3rd graders, 3-D printing will be the focus, while 4th, 5th, and 6th graders will try their hand at building and programming robots. Not to be outdone, 7th and 8th graders will learn to program drones to fly autonomously.

School may not be in session, but learning never takes a break and the fun never stops at EIS.
